Research

I am a physician-scientist whose research focuses on deciphering the effects of gene mutations on mRNAs, proteins, and cell function. My current interest is in various genetic aspects of the male reproduction, with specific attention to translational research of the genetic basis of male infertility. My aim is to identify various unknown genetic defects that cause or are associated with male reproduction defects, and ultimately translate these findings to clinical practice. My laboratory and I have been productive in the identification and functional characterization of specific gene mutations affecting male reproductive function.
